What the hell is wrong with people?

NYC in the twenty-first century is sick with such blandness, such apathy and such a shadow of what DBCR frontman Mike grew up with that he's sickened by each and every person he encounters, particularly in the music "scene" where no one cares and why should they? What is being called "indie rock" is basically the muzak of this generation, wherein subculture sampling shitheads masturbate their flaccid guitars but never seem to cum. Gentrification or economic segregation has drained this city of its soul and even its fear—in short, it's humanity.

But born of this frustration and dripping with humanity is Drunken Belligerent Confrontational Rock. The essence of what DBCR is trying to do is to sonically punch its audience in the face. Composed of bitter, ugly, aging, hostile punk rockers, DBCR seeks to do what GG Allin did, only with slightly less excrement and pedophilia - to put an artistic vision first and let the sound follow that (rather than decide who to sound like and emulate that.) We also want to restore excitement and unpredictability to rock music. We want people to love us or hate us or get injured, but we don't want to leave anyone bored. That's what your shit band is for.
